This booklet has been developed for my own practice as a guideline to everyday situations my families need to solve with their insulin pump. We have a fun pirate theme and the children like reading this booklet. It is meant to be used when issues arrive it is not everything you need to know about insulin pump therapy but it is a beginning.
Each page or two will give you tips to adjust your insulin pump, whether it be carbohydrate ratio, basal rate, insulin pump breakdown off a day off the pump. These are guidelines and everyone should consult their own team for their pump adjustments.
